  • The winners of the eight awards will be announced at the official ceremony in Brussels on September 23, which is the "EU Green Day."

Citizens of the European Union (EU) increasingly value organic products. According to a 2020 Eurobarometer survey on EU agriculture and the CAP , 82% of citizens believe that organic products are more likely to comply with specific rules on pesticides, fertilizers, and antibiotics, 81% consider them to be more environmentally friendly, and a further 80% value animal welfare. According to the survey, 56% of citizens recognize the organic logo, up from 27% in 2017.

It is therefore not surprising that one of the objectives of the European Commission (EC) is to achieve, through the European Green Deal , 25% of agricultural land dedicated to organic farming by 2030 in the EU.

In this context, the EU Organic Awards were born , which this year reach their third edition and have already announced the 24 finalists who will compete for awards – within their eight categories – at a ceremony on September 23, which is the "European Union Eco Day."
