A new edition of the EAFRD-funded projects brochure entitled “Smart and Competitive Rural Areas” is available.

20.5.2016

This edition presents examples of methods and approaches that have been used across Europe and have yielded significant results in areas such as rural broadband deployment, digital market access, farm modernization, market development, rural diversification, and sustainable cities and towns.

We would like to highlight the inclusion in this brochure of one of the projects funded by the National Research Network (NRN) during the previous programming period, 2007–2013: “Apilink,” on remote monitoring of beehives to reduce costs and increase productivity in beekeeping operations as a means of securing the rural population.

The brochure is available in English at the following link: Brochure: Smart and Competitive Rural Areas

The Spanish version will be published soon.
