The competition, promoted by the social action program "Land of Opportunities", has awarded 20 projects from different provinces that reached the national final held in Madrid.

CaixaBank has recognized 20 rural entrepreneurship projects from across Spain within the framework of its Social Action program "Land of Opportunities" , an initiative focused on promoting job creation, supporting new business ideas and retaining population in rural areas.

The national final, held in Madrid, brought together the projects selected from among the 188 entrepreneurs previously awarded in the regional phase, in an edition that had nearly 2,600 participants from 40 provinces.

Special mentions

Among the 20 finalists, 7 initiatives have received special mentions for their impact on the territory, their communication skills and their vision for the future:

  • Voice of the rural world:

    • Barco Natura (Cáceres): river tourism focused on bird watching.

    • Transhumant life (Jaén): a model that combines livestock farming and organic olive groves.

    • Pinaroca (Segovia): extensive production of goose eggs with a gourmet focus.

  • Impact on the rural world:

    • Gurevet (Navarra): veterinary services at home in rural areas.

    • Anxoves Cap de Creus (Girona): recovery of traditional salting.

  • Future of the rural world:

These awards recognize projects with a special capacity to revitalize the territory and generate new opportunities in rural areas.

Other award-winning projects

Alongside the featured projects, the program has awarded other initiatives that reflect the diversity of rural entrepreneurship in Spain:

  • Exiled Cultivation (Cádiz): recovery of the navazo, a traditional coastal agricultural system with more than 800 years of history.

  • The social media girl (Asturias): a project focused on the digitization and visibility of rural businesses.

  • Son Pere Jaia (Balearic Islands): an initiative that transforms grape must into wine through traditional fermentation and aging.

  • Betsaida Jorge (La Palma): artisanal creation of handmade crochet garments.

  • La Cabra Tira Al Monte (Cuenca): extensive goat farming for meat production and cheese making.

  • Raíces del Cerrato (Palencia): a project that combines organic farming with artistic and cultural activities.

  • Oli Cometes (Lleida): an immersive tourist experience focused on olive oil and its production process.

  • Aloe Vitae (Alicante): production and marketing of natural cosmetics based on organic aloe vera.

  • Espai Vital (Castellón): rural wellness center with activities such as yoga, pilates and health workshops.

  • Casa Rural Cieza de León (Badajoz): tourist accommodation that combines cultural, gastronomic and natural experiences.

  • La Proyectual Diseño (La Rioja): design studio specializing in comprehensive renovations in rural environments.

  • Midomo (Madrid): workshops and training in the construction of domes and wooden structures.

  • El Horno de Pedro (Navarra): traditional pastry workshop with home delivery and use of local ingredients.

“Land of Opportunities”

The “Land of Opportunities” program, promoted by CaixaBank, offers comprehensive support to rural entrepreneurs through:

  • Financial aid .

  • Training and support .

  • Personalized mentoring .

  • Visibility and networking .

New this year, this edition has included a fair at Matadero Madrid to showcase the products and services of the selected projects.

Furthermore, the organization has announced the sixth edition of the program, which will come with important new features such as coverage of all provinces, a virtual platform for entrepreneurs and a greater focus on small municipalities and projects with social impact.

The call for applications will be launched in May 2026 and the decision will be announced in June of the same year.
