The new grants included in the La Rioja Regional Development Plan (RDP) are intended to support innovative cooperation projects promoted by business groups, producers, and researchers in the sector . Some of the innovative actions may be technological, although others are contemplated that focus on the development of new products and services, new marketing methods, or new ways of organizing the company or sector.

The support measure is based on three fundamental pillars:
- cooperation , since access to these grants requires joint work;
- innovation as a new way of tackling an existing problem that has not been put into practice until now,
- and the dissemination of the results .

The Government of La Rioja organized an informative day last   April 4, to announce this new measure of its RDP and clarify any questions about its implementation. All presentations are available online.

The event was aimed at anyone (individual or legal) who has identified a problem in their field of work and is considering a novel approach to solving it; or those seeking to introduce innovative measures to improve the environment or mitigate the effects of climate change. It is also of interest to companies that are currently unable to undertake such projects but would like to receive information about the channels that have been established to learn about projects currently underway and contact those responsible, both nationally and in the European Union.
