These awards recognize the work of eleven women linked to the rural and fishing environment in their categories of Innovation in agricultural activity, Innovation in fishing or aquaculture activity, Innovation in the diversification of economic activity in rural areas, Communication and Extraordinary.

Since 2010, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food has held these awards annually with the aim of highlighting the work of rural women in the diversification of economic activity and entrepreneurial endeavors in the region.
