From the Smart Rural Living project team: Living Rural Areas, Smart Towns , we have the pleasure of inviting you to attend the closing online conference of the project , which will be held next Wednesday, July 3, 2025 , from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (peninsular time) .
This event will mark the completion of a LEADER cooperation project on Smart Villages in the Extremadura region. This project has involved 24 Local Action Groups developing regional Smart Village Strategies and designing a total of 144 strategic projects , covering various thematic areas. All of this has the shared goal of driving territorial transformation —digital, social, and ecological—to address the region's demographic challenges.
The Smart Rural Living project thus consolidates its position as a pioneering initiative in Spain within the LEADER-FEADER framework, promoting a regional and integrative approach to the development of smart communities.
The event will be held online and will consist of two main sections:
- An institutional panel , with the participation of leading representatives.
- A results panel , featuring short, accessible streaming presentations focused on the project's learnings and achievements.
