Blended learning course on Agrotourism and Sustainability in Cortegana (25 hours)

Training proposal in Cortegana (Huelva). In collaboration with El Enjambre sin Reina and SEO/BirdLife as part of the Montes Vivos project, we present the 25-hour blended Agrotourism and Sustainability Course .

A space to highlight the environmental and social role of chestnut and hazelnut groves, their importance for biodiversity, rural development, and their potential as a driver of the bioeconomy and adaptation to climate change.

It will be an opportunity to reflect, share experiences, and be inspired by people who are already promoting rural tourism, agroecology, and collective entrepreneurship linked to these ecosystems in rural Andalusia.

Training plan (25h)

  • IN PERSON: Weekend of September 26-28.
    • New Casino Society of Cortegana (Pl. Constitución, 6)

      → Friday 9/26 (4:00 PM - 7:00 PM)

      Introduction to the ecosocial crisis and alternatives from agroecology, agrotourism, and sustainability. The Queenless Swarm

      → Saturday 9/27 (9:00-14:00)

      Empowerment, leadership, and the role of women in entrepreneurship in rural Andalusia. The Queenless Swarm

      → Saturday 9/27 (16:00-19:30)

      Social Economy for entrepreneurship in rural areas . Antonio Marín, La Umbría Project and professor of the Master's Degree in Organic Agriculture and Livestock .

    • Visit to Finca Montefrío → Sunday 28th (9:00-14:00)

      Family project of regenerative agriculture, environmental education, and agrotourism in Cortegana.

  • VIRTUAL: Experience Roundtable → Monday, November 17 (4:00 PM - 7:00 PM). Learn firsthand about different experiences led by women, with whom we will share experiences, knowledge, difficulties, and challenges in carrying out Sustainable Tourism projects.

  • VIRTUAL: Experience Roundtable → Monday, November 24 (4:00 PM - 7:00 PM). Consolidate lessons learned, share experiences from the different course locations, and create support and collaboration networks among women involved in sustainable tourism.
