The last half of 2022 of the National Rural Network (RRN) has been marked by a broad program of activities aimed at rural women.

During the last half of 2022, the RRN has developed a program aimed at rural women that has been structured around five axes:
- Training and support for entrepreneurship.
- Networking and association building among rural women.
- Living conditions in rural areas.
- Economic activities. Agricultural and agri-food sector.
- RRN communication activities.
This has been possible thanks to the creation of the "Rural Women" Thematic Group organized by the RRN This national meeting brought together 45 women—with multidisciplinary profiles — to collaborate on the design of an action plan in this area that is consistent with and faithful to the reality of women in rural areas .
Activities
1. Training and support for entrepreneurship :
- “From Local to Global: Best Practices of Rural Municipalities”
- "Compilation of good practices from the Regional and National Rural Development Programs for the period 2014-2020"
- Entrepreneurship courses: the last one held is the 7th edition .
2. Networking and association building among rural women:
- Creation of instant messaging groups ( Telegram / WhatsApp ) to encourage networking and connect associations, organizations, and young people from different autonomous communities who work or live in rural areas, who share the same concerns or similar goals, or who want to create future projects together.
3. Living conditions in rural areas:
- Publication and dissemination of the gender equality diagnosis in rural areas .
- LEADER Experience Exchange: "Rural Women in the Areas of Reconciliation, Co-responsibility, Gender Perspective, Social Economy, and Sustainability."
- 5th National Film and Rural Women's Cycle
- Excellence in Innovation Awards Ceremony for Rural Women 2022.
4. Economic activities in the agri-food sector:
- Cycle of territorial conferences : held nationwide from September to October 2022. A total of 10 conferences that, at a quantitative level, yield the following data:
- Total attendees: 539 (373 women and 166 men)
- A total of 15 associations from each of the territories have collaborated with them.
- 6 of the 10 sessions were held in higher education centers.
- A total of 44 speakers shared their experiences and projects throughout the series of sessions: the speakers included women leaders in the agricultural cooperative sector, as well as representatives of associations and entrepreneurs in the agriculture, livestock, and agri-food sectors.
5. NRN communication activities
- Production of a monthly news article specifically on rural women, disseminating success stories and initiatives by women in rural areas.
- Making a podcast .
- Promotion of “ Rural Entrepreneurs of the Week” on social media , through photographs and basic information about their entrepreneurial projects.
- Creation of a RRN YouTube playlist with videos based on the activities and experiences of rural women.
