Invierno 2026

Several synergistic initiatives, or those with the potential to be replicated, are featured in this issue of Savia Rural . We speak with chef Luis Alberto Lera, whose Michelin-starred restaurant in Castroverde de Campos (Zamora) works closely with small local producers; and with Mutur Beltz, a project that has showcased the wool of the Carranzana sheep with high-quality creations. Based on the principle of free access to information, we highlight the work of the Pontevedra-based Rural Hackers and their open-source developments, as well as the EU-FarmBook platform, a comprehensive European agricultural science library available to everyone. We report on the imminent European agreement on plants obtained using new genomic techniques, and on Protiberia's work with the Tenebrio molitor beetle as a food component. And we don't forget to share a bit of wonder with the beautiful images from the recent edition of Fotoparques.
